A. The backup light source in our 2DRE LED lamp, whilst integrated into the lamp, is actually independant electrically. As a result, the 2DRE main lamp can be connected to a switched supply. The emergency backup pack included with the 2DRE is designed to operate in non-maintained mode, so MUST have a permanent supply. On a power fail, the whole luminaire with lose its power, and the emergency gear will illuminate the High Power LED backup lamps inside the 2DRE for a minimum of 3Hrs. All of our Emergency gear is ICEL approved.
